Bestiary: images for a cook book

With the sentence “…that life is a movement upward with a final click” Julio Cortazar describes in the Bestiario the counsciousness raising of a small white rabbit in front of his impending murder. The click in question is the one of the trigger, onomatopoeic term that describes, at the same time, the sound of a weapon and that of the camera when shooting.

‘Shoot and Kill’ to see and let see, not death but the invisible part of an innocent being, his spotless soul, to redeem it, to bring up the eaten, to free an animal forever from pain and, if possible, from his grisly fate.
